Interactive grimoire
AI as Magic
Note: The live app is hosted as a standalone static project. Your progress is stored in your browser on the device you use to open it.
This project uses the language of ritual and magic to explain how AI systems feel powerful, strange, and sometimes hard to reason about.
The point is not to mystify AI further. It is to make a few recurring ideas easier to hold together: agency, tools, memory, dependence, and the hidden infrastructure behind apparently effortless outputs.
What to expect
The interactive grimoire is organised as a set of short chapters. Each chapter frames one part of AI through metaphor, but the underlying concerns are practical: where the system gets its power, what it can actually act on, where it stores state, and how much human judgement still has to sit around it.
Why this framing matters
A lot of AI language either becomes too technical too quickly or stays at the level of vague hype. This project sits in the middle. It is meant to help people think more carefully about what these systems are doing without pretending the experience is purely mechanical or purely magical.
